Every time I comment on an article like this I’m always met with push back from Smashers about the integrity of competitive play, and, frankly, libelous claims that the SmashBox is not a professionally constructed product, and basically equates to a shoebox of wires held together with gum.

So, its not really that it’d be better off without a story, so much as the story it has is bad. I’m not surprised, they’re no NRS, but I’m glad they gave it a shot after the SFV content debacle.

I’ve never played a second of EVE, and I never will, but I love this game so damn much. Has anyone sat down yet, and chronicled the history of EVE’s meta? The actual wars, and their starts, and ends? The cost in and out of game? I’d read the hell out of that.

Homestuck is amazing, but has lore about as impenetrable as they come, and if you DO convince someone to read it (experience it?), their reward is entry into one of the worst fandoms on the internet.
