Y’know, Yuri on Ice seems a bit disingenuous. I was expecting a different kind of same sex romance. Here’s hoping for the sister series Yaoi on Ice.
I live in SF. I can confirm particularly explicit genitalia is a feature, not a bug.
No, I get the problem. My hang up is that it just seems so beyond the pale that I never even considered it was going on. Again, this is why we need a strong labor movement. Considering issues like crunch, I’m surprised that devs have not unionized yet.
Update—1:30 p.m: According to a SAG-AFTRA representative, companies have agreed to reveal if an actor’s role is recurring or involves using racial slurs or sexual content but have not agreed to disclose titles.
Indeed. Ever notice how a character literally named Lust has less fanservice than half the cast of something like High School of the Dead.
Glad this is a conversation. “Fanservice” has killed my interest in many an anime. It is just hard to push through a show when it gives the same amount of screen time to showing slow-mo boob giggles that DBZ gives to Goku charging a damn Spirit Bomb. The only recent anime that was fanservice-y that I stuck through was…
Hey man, taking out a teammate is worth it for a triple kill rest during doubles. Nothing like seeing Puff bring about the apocalypse.
Can’t wait to see all the, “I’m not a racist, but this is just silly ol’ Twitch chat! No big deal. I mean, sure, racism is baaaaaad, but there’s nothing anyone can do about it! Just close it, and everything is fine!”
This game still doesn’t have any same sex relationships beyond a single quest line, huh? I remember enjoying it a bit, but once the game opened up into Real MMO-land, and I found out I wasn’t going to enjoy any of my romance options, I bounced.
Am I weird if this is still my favorite Bioware game? I’m not an old curmudgeon who thinks Bioware became trash post-Mass Effect, I actually prefer DA: O to Baldur’s Gate (your hate sustains me), but, for my money, nothing beats Jade Empire.
I prefer that headline.
Much as I love the Smash community for all the cool, and awesome stuff it does, it is certainly one of the most toxic (Melee in particular). There is an elitism there that easily boils over into a boy’s club mentality. Again, love the Smash scene, and I have never had any issues at a Smash fest, or my local scene…
Y’know, I could get behind this. MonHun doesn’t really have anything BUT a cool setting to play around in. There is no plot for a screenwriter to scoff at, and ruin.
“Unnecessary” is just, like, your opinion man.
This is the greatest thing to happen to Final Fantasy since belts and spiky blonde hair.
Never got this complaint for consoles. I mean, who goes around grabbing, or picking up their console that often? I’m more worried about the thing gathering dust, or not being able to stand without a stupid pedestal.
Is there a PS4 Pro version? Not gonna buy it either way, but it’d be cool to know how interested they are in giving people reasons to even buy a Pro.
Backdoor Pokemon Snap 2? I’ll take it.
The Division left me hollow, Fallout 4 was the latest Bethesda RPG I tortured myself with (Skyrim in particular is something that I poured at least 100 hours into before realizing that I was just upsetting myself), Bioshock Infinite is another one that I wanted to like but ludonarrative dissonance struck me like a ton…
