I already have my hands full defending Capcom on another Kotaku article, so I won't say much other than I'm not surprised EA is getting hate, even for giving away free games. Did they want to? No, but they did when they said they would honor the sales. People will always complain though.

Thanks, and agreed. When he compared a 4 button fighter to a 6 button one I was seeing red. I can see if you knew what you were talking about, and wanted to argue a specific point; I'm fine with that, but half of what he was saying was blatantly false, and the other was just ignorant to the context of the situation.

I'd say the Monster Hunter fans are getting what they want, as are the Fighting Game fans. I'll concede on a single player standpoint I've only really been interested in DD, which, I fully agree could have been better (despite being really great already). I'll also point out that Remember Me has my interest for the

Wait, sorry, I thought we were talking about Capcom... I got more replies than I'm used to with my original comment, so I was a bit overwhelmed. That said, EA.

I disagree on that, and, regardless, I find it weird to pan them for both failing to innovate, and not rehashing old franchises.

Had to slog through paragraphs of 'Reasons why you suck and are wrong', but it feels good to know at least someone can see where I'm coming from. It is a happy bonus that you actually agree with my sentiment.

Street Fighter 4, released 2008, still receiving support, and updates from Capcom, as well as continued support of the FGC through tournament sponsors, allowing the community to grow.

X-Factor is a bullshit gimmick? Lololololololololol. Agree about Pandora though, that aside, SFxT was a decent game. After v.2013 fixes a few things, I'm sure it'll really stand out, assuming bad word-of-mouth hasn't killed it. Then again, if bad-word-of-mouth killed anything, Capcom would already be gone.

I'm noticing that become a theme in the replies to my comment. Blind hatred for a company aside though, I really do like EA, and what they're doing with EA Partners, and trying to develop, and maintain new IPs.

EA gets unwarranted hate, be honest about it.

Actually, I didn't have an argument, I was simply stating my view on the matter. Since we're on the subject however, let us address your argument. You're pissed off at Capcom for reasons boiling down to 'They put a character I really like into a new game, but they didn't put in the version I liked.' What does that

I get it, really, I do. Capcom does some SERIOUSLY asshole things... but... UMvC3, and Dragon's Dogma, and Street Fighter, and they just teased a new Darkstalkers... I know I SHOULD be mad at them, but... they produce games I legitimately want to play, and games that are legitimately fun to play.

I'm from New York City. Hollywood has been pretending I don't know the difference between my city, Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco and a green screen for years. Tokyo, and its residents, will just have to man up like everyone else from a major city.

The Homestuck in jokes are coming! I can just feel it! ...Speaking of... I should see if it updated.

This is what I get for only playing Tekken 3, and a bit of Tekken 6... Anyway, who would have thunk it? Ogre is an alien.

Ogre is a Mayan fighting god, or some shit, not an alien.

While I don't agree with the rage (should really be happy it is getting a sequel at all; just ask a diehard Mirror's Edge fan how it feels to be left out in the cold), I can see where they're coming from. A lot of gamers were spurned by the Wii, playing it mostly, probably only, for Zelda, Metroid, and the odd Mario

True enough, I suppose, but you could extrapolate that further and say that touch/ gyro controls over a controller/ mouse n' keyboard is also a preference. It'd be hard to argue against that (since it is true), but I think an overwhelming popular opinion should count for something in a case such as this.

Monstrous alien thing? There are no aliens in Tekken, to the best of my knowledge.

I don't like playing with gyro controls, same way I don't really like playing with a wheel on real consoles. I like having a trigger for accelerating, etc.
