Not really. There are a ton of drivers out there that have no clue that the left lane is the passing lane, despite the fact that this is explicitly stated in driver’s ed.

No, clearly what we need are more nanny features on cars. Can’t watch the road in front of you? Automatic braking! Can’t be bothered to turn your headlights on at night? Automatic headlights! Too dumb to look down at your instrument cluster? Automatic high beam dimming!
Nobody should ever be telling any other driver when to go. It’s not courteous or polite, it’s the exact opposite. People do this at 4-way intersections all the time and all it does is slow down the flow of traffic and increase the chance of causing an accident. Right-of-way exists to prevent exactly this.
There’s this crazy new invention called a “headlight switch” that allows you to operate the lights independently of the automatic feature. I know, it’s really new, so you might not have heard about it yet, but almost every vehicle on the road now has them.
Perfectly said. Thank you.
Modern cars have rain-sensing wipers and even automatic braking, yet for some reason we can’t design DRLs that don’t come on at night. And backup cameras are mandatory, but for some reason, automatic headlights aren’t.
“Most modern cars have LCD instrument clusters that eliminate one of the traditional warnings that your headlights are not on: being unable to see your own instruments.”
It’s never a good idea to operate your own vehicle based on what some other random, idiot driver is telling you. Accidents happen all the time because of people doing this. And it’ll be YOUR fault when it happens.
Flashing headlights at night: turn your damn headlights on.
That’s not what “flash to pass” means. “Flash to pass” is the feature used to alert the driver in front of you to move out of the way so that you can pass.
One thing to note is that a lot of CRTs left over today are from the 90's and 2000's. Newer televisions, especially higher-end sets which had to compete with the emergence of HDTVs in the early-to-mid 2000's, will have excellent picture quality no matter how you connect your console. You’ll still notice some…
Except there is no such thing as “bleed” on a CRT. The shadow mask ensures that the electron beams hit exactly where they’re supposed to and nowhere else.
No it’s not, it’s some fake-ass screeching that some idiot editor added in post.
That’s because of straight-cut gears. But that’s not what we hear in the Ford video. The sounds in that video are just straight up shrieking sounds that were added in post.
The sounds in the Ford video are clearly fake. And extremely obnoxious.
I only made it a minute and a half into that video before I had to shut it off, thanks to all of the obnoxious screeching sounds that they added.
That’s absolute nonsense. A turbocharger doesn’t require special maintenance. You change the oil at a regular interval just like any other vehicle. I used Amsoil 0W-20 in my old car and would change it every 25k just like any other car.
Seems like a lot of you guys have never actually owned a turbocharged vehicle. If you take care of it and maintain it, a turbocharger will last just as long as an engine. Even when you’re pushing it WAY beyond what the compressor map says.
Actually, I did have more to say, but the article was so fucking stupid I couldn’t bring myself to saying anything else.
I feel really bad that you spent that much time making a really quality post in response to a total trash article from a writer who doesn’t understand anything they’re talking about and couldn’t give a shit less.
