So pretty much, if I understand this right, a 39-43 team from the east can make the playoffs while a 43-39 team from the west can still be left out...

This seems like a great idea at the surface but as I look deeper at the issue it doesn't appear to address the biggest problem of all...

“Divisions are arcane” ??? Huh? Arcane? Please Kevin Draper could you expound on how divisions are arcane? I'm confused where the mystery is in them?
