I never understood that mentality of blindly wondering into a store based on a sales ad. The ad gets my attention that "Hey, such-and-such store has my item in stock!" But then, I always double check the prices online and across other sales pages to see who's screwing me and who's actually got a deal.

That makes his mobile comment double-plus good.

Gawker Media does it again. "What a twist!"

Pretty much this. I can not count the # of times I've been burned trying to buy high-demand items online only for inventory systems to go down or lag behind orders, or for sites to crash, etc. The worst was last year when I got in on the first wave of $99 Touchpad mania, and even though I was one of the first to find

I look at all these BF ads for TVs and I'm like "DAMN! That's a great price!" But, I already have a 42" Samsung, the GF has a 46" off-brand (looks great), the roommate has a 40" in the main living room, and I watch Hulu and Netflix on my 24" monitor and tablet. I really have no need for these deals, and it puts me in

You're thinking of the Droid DNA+. It'll be out 6 months after the launch of this one. In Europe.

They are represented. They're just so small, you can't see them, much like the politicians and media. :-D

Maybe we could get some Dieter Ram-inspired faux-wood paneled walls and green shag carpet for our billiards and darts game-grotto in our basement? Would monsieur's and madams at Gizmodo like to also line their van with the lush trappings of synthetic fiber?

It doesn't work because they screwed up the link. Hovering shows there are no hyphens or %20 for the spaces in between the words.

Nope. Personally I find most of these products ugly and extremely retro. Very 1972-ish. Where's my faux-wood paneled walls and shag carpet in my game-grotto?

Haha, love your name.

Like fat people on an airplane!

"other than to use it as something to hold over competitors." And that, friend, is exactly why this *won't* be the highest the resolutions go. Progress is amazing!

True/False. There is a limit on the # of apps it keeps open, and sometimes it depends on the memory each one uses. The big offenders seem to be the browser, and games. What really pisses me off is that now it automatically closes all music programs, rather than pausing the music, when on a phone call. My HTC Evo never

Apparently you've never played with an HTC One device, or the Lumias. These aren't "plasticky"; they're polycarbonate, which is different. There are no creaks to be felt; no flexing of the screens or backs. There are no seams in the design to be seen.

Pretty much this, yeah.

Ah, thanks for the clarification.

Just because someone else was crazier, does not make you any less insane than you were already diagnosed. :-p

"Designed by Apple in California TM for amazing holiday discounts exactly the same price as always."

Can we get some skeumurphic ribbons along the top banner, maybe behind the logo or something? That would make me feel more holiday-ish.
