Well, since we are in the subject of Shogun Assassin (Lone Wolf and Cub) there are scenes there that continue to influence moviemakers. Like the hanging-over-the-well scene that I saw in ULTRAVIOLET, or the fire set aboard the ship which JUBE (Ninja Scroll) expounded.

But I love this take on Sherlock Holmes! And the Cumberbatch-Freeman Sherlock Holmes, and the 80's teen movie bit, and . . . well those that I know of.
