A & B are sacrifices on the altar of safety. I’m sure there’s a way to engineer this, but it’d be at an extremely high material cost.

Slightly off topic, but....
I wonder how many of them have already visited the local service centre...
Good one. Came here to say the nationalization of British Leyland in 1975.
Yeah, it’s worth noting that the upgrades to the trunk, glass, heat pump (not to mention the recent free range increase) really just make the normal $38k model that much better of a deal. Not terribly surprising that they are getting rid of the $35k off-menu model for a while until they sell enough of the…
CO2 is not an air quality issue. It’s the normal pollutants that are measured..
What’s interesting is the fact that the first slaves that were brought over here, the African Kings sold their POWs to the slave traders. Nobody thought that they were lower than humans and on the level of livestock. It wasn’t until later that the propaganda of blacks inferiority emerged to continue the justification…
“It’s funny that whenever something is working in management’s favor it’s always just a one-time “special case” situation.”
“Porsche has been achieving Lexus levels of reliability over the last decade”
No.
California doesn’t need his help to demonize themselves.
One of the best ways to prevent deaths from accidents is to prevent the accident in the first place. This is solved with education. Make it MUCH more difficult to obtain a driver license, or make it a tiered system (as to not negatively affect the lower income brackets) where a beginner permit allows you to use…
Having owned one of these I can say with out a doubt it was the most unreliable car I ever owned. I traded it in @ 60k miles because of the constant major issues it had.
A lot longer than you think. I spent 3 months in Germany in a rental car. Every chance I got, I would hit the road and explore. And that’s not normal in Europe
If there’s a nation that can swing only having electric vehicles, then it’s a tiny island nation, most of which has been exploited and ‘improved’ over the thousands of years of occupancy. This is a country where people think going from Edinburgh to Glasgow (about an hour by train or a little less by car) is far enough…
Ah yes, the obscure Winkler rotary engine. I remember that it was known for problems with its Ayyyy-pex seals.
One of the virtues of a manual transmission is it's mechanical simplicity (especially in a developing country where you're probably repairing your own shit). They've just ruined that by overcomplicating things and adding electronics. Sorry, this is a completely silly product. It's another engineered solution to a…
See, I think this is the wrong decision. They need to “lean in” to this (paid for) platform. With the recession/depression that just HAS to be right around the corner, cheap reliable new cars are going to be so important.
