If I had the stupid money necessary for this type of purchase, I’d get a 288 GTO. But probably these as well.
First, what’s the Buy It Now price?
Too bad they deleted the neat headrests that dropped down with a button on the center dash
W124 hammer is my dream car. If I had fuck you money, I would daily this
I will say, Mercedes knew and still knows how to make good looking coupes, and AMG just knew what they were doing with everything they did.
I wonder how long a car with 40 doors would be?
Recaro rear seats are always amazing
I’ve driven plenty of modified MB cars from this era and owned a few stock ones too... These are great to drive and sit in: visibility, materials, firm but not harsh suspension, well-considered dimensions, etc.
Those brown leather Recaros in the rear of the sedan are perfect.
I flew from NC to IN to pick up a base model Chevy FWD Equinox, only factory options were the charge cord and red paint (which I wanted). The dealer did add their $160 package which seems to buy 6 months of tire/rim/interior/key coverage, but I was so content that they didn’t BS me that I didn’t even try to get it…
brand new ford maverick starts at $26k, well below the $30k mark. 240hp, 30mpg, 4.5' bed, all the comforts you could possibly need and still have the utility to haul stuff.
Best generation. Mostly mechanical with some electronic flourishes. None of that ‘Oh, you got a corolla dent? $10K please!’ shit...
Crap. Reading this headline made me hopeful that manufacturers would start making actual cars again, instead of the Needlessly Gigantic And Ridiculously Oversized pickup trucks, SUVs and bro-dozers that no one really needs but everyone convinces themselves they need. Oh well.
More likely they need to lower prices because tariffs will make then more expensive again. As someone somewhere else pointed out, tariffs would be applied any time something crosses the border. That could mean that finished cars could have had up to 5 layers of tariffs applied.
Of course it’s supposed to be “shudder.”
It’s welcome news for folks who see the average price of a new car – $49,740 – and shutter.
BRING BACK THE HONDA FIT
I don’t suppose there’s any connection between this sudden interest in producing cheaper cars and the large increase in sales of Hyundais and Kias mentioned in another article?
