+1 on the Audi.

This is the right answer. Not one of the new digital gauges does a thing for me. There’s an absence of substance about them. Too much information.

Star for Mercedes dog-leg 1st gear.

I quite love it, all the different options I have are fantastic. However, there is something wonderful, and pleasing, about the entirely analog clusters that give you all the info in a well laid out and organized view.

You’re doing the Lord’s work here.

I really like that display but that wheel makes me want to barf all my organs out and die quietly in a corner.

Literally made for this thread. You have a bunch of fairly solid digital ones the last few years but this and the E46 sedan cluster are things of analog beauty. I am in love.

After a few drinks and some time with GIMP, I made this cluster for my daily driver smart five years ago. It’s been about 120k miles since then and the thing still puts a smile on my face.

1984 Rabbit GTI. One of my all time favorites. Straight to the point interior. This is the one I looked at everyday through college.

Bulky hoods are required to meet pedestrian mow-down safety requirements. If you mow someone down, and their head smacks the hood, the requirement is that they not contact any of the mechanical bits of the motor. The door thing is to improve side impact protection. Side impact is a difficult problem because there’s

I won’t miss it, because Mercedes and Volvo still offer over-priced undependable wagons (remember Mercedes?). I miss Japanese wagons though (Americans, not so much). I miss my the WRX wagon and bought a used Acura TSX wagon while I could.

I rode in a Model3 recently, and it was pretty sweet. I’d go all electric if I have to compromise. No long roof. Basically no manuals. So give me an electric.

A wagon is a two-box sedan, low seat height and low roof, and that’s not what American consumers are asking for. BWM has probably polled the market for sports wagons and found it doesn’t exist in high enough numbers to justify getting into it. My short PT Cruiser “crossover” could hold more stuff than my sons much

I leased a 2018 330xiT in orange with the shadow sport and track handling pkg. Anyone want to buy it when the lease it up in 30 months?

I believe the Mini Cooper Clubman is about 2sq ft smaller in cargo space than the BMW wagon. You can get it with a manual and if you want performance, you can get a JCW edition.

Drove wife’s BMW this weekend while she was traveling in the CRV. I understand why cars are being replaced by SUV’s. Even thought the CRV is just adequate as SUV’s go, it’s still a nicer place to be when doing normal driving. Bigger windows, better visibility. More places for my 2 large McDonalds Sodas. More room for

Wagon is dead, long live the wagon.

Gimme one with the Big Oly paint job

This is great news because we know Ford will bungle Bronco just as badly as it bungled Ranger.

The prettiest one of these I ever saw is a candy-apple red one with a fold-down windshield, driven by of all people Jeremy Piven.
