Why change? Because the increase in fuel tax does not cover the increase in road wear/cover the cost to maintain and repair.

A mileage tax that increases with vehicle weight would be grand. Weight is what impacts the roads. Yes, we would all pay more for Amazon’s Insta-Prime, but hey - we should anyway.

Great idea. Gogoro has been doing this since what, 2015? These swap stations were everywhere... outside many a 7-11. Glad to see Honda leading a similar course. Of course, the two sizes are close, but not the same size. Argh...

True that. When I lived in Germany, there was a guy with a yellow (everything but the tires, it seemed) CJ7 with all the EU requirements for federalization. It was cool to see.

This is a sweet electric CJ6 (hat tip for the steelies). You gotta start somewhere, especially with taking advantage of the full engineering only an OEM can offer (as opposed to me and the kids wiring up some batteries in the garage).
