The high beltline and thick pillars encouraged or dictated by safety standards. At some point, cars will be like tanks with near-zero outward visibility.

Isn’t this GM giving each dealer 10 charging stations and the dealer chooses where to put them in the community? Say what you want about dealers, but they know the community. This is not about putting a bunch of charging stations at dealerships, which as nearly everyone has pointed out, quite pointless. The Level 2

It’s on the European-spec WLTP cycle, so figure about 50 miles EPA. Darn good for a PHEV; it’s also the distance that the California Air Resources Board is considering as a “strong PHEV” for the next round of regulations.

5th: EV charging costs. That report is pretty imbalanced, but that’s nothing new in the industry.

If the employee gets paid out unused vacation, maybe do a true-up less the cost of the home charging station.

You nailed it. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of the (very) good.

Completely agree. This seems like a very narrow, imbalanced perspective.

Put it in ‘H.’”

I’m about the same size as you. Sat in one earlier this month front and back. Quite comfortable. Despite being about the same length and height as a Tacoma or Colorado, they are much wider. Also Rivian took full advantage of the ground-up EV design and the cabin had a ton of space.

True. I sat in an R1T a few weeks ago, and while it’s about the same length and height as my dad’s Colorado crew cab 4x4, the combo of the the extra width coupled with the ground-up EV design made the cab quite comfortable, even for someone who is 6'6". Can’t say the same about the Colorado.

Great review. Thank you. Hat tip to Rivian for offering a full-size spare (although that is expected for this category).

Many of these options seem to miss the 6'6" part, so here we go:

This.

Sign of the times that one of the OEMs that has a well-earned reputation for safety basically punts and says, “nah, who needs to see out of the car; we got screens inside the car.”

San Francisco resident here.

True. The Ram Power Wagon has one, for example.

It’s a fuel/oil mix. Depending on how much the chain say is used, you don’t need that big of a tank (jerry can) to fill.

True, German labor law is way more pro-worker than in the U.S. (funny thing - we and the Brits largely wrote it). That being said, the workers’ council and management in the south seem to get the fact that if they don’t remain competitive in Germany, factories are more likely to move east (Czech Republic, Slovakia,

Most farms have electricity, though, right? Seems like a lot of electric miles could be had with a 240V charging station at the farm and a PHEV work pickup. There is a fierce debate about whether PHEVs are needed or not in the long term, but IMO a PHEV pickup with say a 40 mile electric range is a niche that makes a

It’s more cave-like. Hard pass.
