$200K per dealer? How much did it cost each Chevy dealer to prep for the Chevy Volt back in 2010?

This:
Yeah, the Bolt is a great car/EV, but the points you mentioned are spot on. It’s a real head-scratcher.
This.
Not bad, but more info on the plug-in hybrid would be appreciated.
The “Go-Devil” agrees.
From sfgate.com, here’s a burnt post-1950.5 Willys Jeepster near Vacaville, California:
Well, since most charging for EVs will be done at home and work (where all cars sit on average parked >20 hours/day), we will need far fewer charging plazas than we do gas stations. That being said, they are needed.
That’s true. I lived in Germany for five years without a car. Very different layout for the most part. I am just curious how the European EV drivers are charging the EVs.
Yeah, that makes sense. Japan is shutting down baseload power (nuclear) and doesn’t have any fossil fuel resources, so it makes sense they are trying to import hydrogen.
Uh, the oil industry is very interested in and supportive of hydrogen.
Yes, exactly this.
I agree in a “all-of-the-above” type strategy with clean fuels.
Good point. How EV drivers charging their cars in Europe where high-density housing and few garages is the norm?
The European EV success this year is also due to the stricter emissions regs that kicked in January 1, 2020. More carrot (incentives). More stick (fines). More customer selection (existence and available of EVs in popular models and body styles). And EV sales are up while gasoline/diesel sales are down.
I also wonder about the underlying health conditions of the attendees? What % were in good health? What % were not? Seems like pouring gasoline on a fire... but what do I know? I’m just a caveman.
Or on golf courses?
Agree with you on the range-extended/PHEV (as a former i3 REx owner). BMW’s flaw was to make the gas two cylinder too small, unlike the Volt which had plenty of power.
Exactly. Hey, GM - where are the plug-in versions of your best-selling vehicles in the US?
Wow, so that’s what happens when the VTEC kicks in, yo.
