Me too,but the unemployment around Berlin is about 16%, there aren’t many other manufacturers in the area, the workforce is highly skilled, transportation is easy (closest port is Rostock and rail is right there), and the coup-d-grace is being able to sell a German-built car that just happens to be an American EV.

I’ll take a PHEV Wrangler to help FCA get their numbers down... no interest in the diesel.

Any word on the plug-in hybrid Wrangler? Or do we have to wait for the LA Auto Show?

Yeah, if their leadership can’t do it, you’d think some of their investors with a long-term perspective could and would. Not everyone looks just to the next quarterly report, right?

How can anyone say there is no demand for EVs in the US when none of the OEMs are making plug-in versions of their best-sellers and backing them with a typical marketing campaign?

Yeah, that was a sweet Willys Wagon. The factory painted them to look like a woody, often with a dark blue, maroon, or dark red hood, grill, and fenders for contrast.

So it’s the Ford... Mullet?

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was the Taurus.

Maybe it’s a new trend is shipping styrofoam peanuts then.

Maybe a new trend in portable, above-ground swimming pools.

True, but I looked straight at the Eclipse and now I’m blind.

The Frontier has become competitive by default due to its low price and you can still use it like a truck... meaning reach over the side of the bed and grab something out of it.

We have a similar situation. Need an off-road capable (ground clearance, fording depth, etc.) to reach an off-the-grid cabin that’s 350 miles from home. During the week, it’s a station wagon for a family of five and a dog

So much this.

So much this.

Please tell me some company displayed a trio of them, called:

As intended?  With the gated six speed manual?

3rd gear: why not both (a plug-in and an SUV/crossover)? Plug-in SUVs and crossovers are coming. 2022 will look very different to us. Heck, even Toyota is making a PHEV RAV4. Can’t wait to see what’s shown at the LA car show in a few weeks.

Good question. There aren’t really many engineering reasons left, but there are plenty of business ones.

Yeah, that would be pretty sweet.
