I thought about this, too and decided maybe the plane was being cleaned later (or not at all based on some planes I have seen.) Regardless of expected maintenance workers coming in, the cabin crew is supposed to make sure everyone gets off the damn plane.

It’s definitely not the passengers’ responsibility to wake people, but the people who work on the plane should maybe make sure everyone gets off it at the end of the ride.
