How does one tune an ECU? There are a ton of mods--and some work-arounds--that can only be done with an ECU tune, and I have no clue how do.
I’m in a similar boat. The previous owner of my NB had to replace the pre-catalyzer with a Racing Beat downpipe, which has no room for an O2 sensor. So it’s still in the engine bay, just swinging around. Thus, check engine light.

I killed my first car by changing the spark plugs. The 02 Chevy Malibu’s V6 was right up to the rear wall of the engine bay, and transverse, meaning half the plugs were hidden from sight.
