I'm not sure about that. I surely do understand the added cost of what goes behind the screen but I sometimes feel that the small screen is here to sell the bigger screen not because its cheaper.

I so understand, We've got a 99 4.6 here and at 260 000 km, it still runs like a charm, EAS still works flawlessly and the minor issues are easily solved... It drinks a little oil and a littl coolant but thats about it...
I've seen an extremely clean one yith 993 engine and many many parts... That was a nice car... This is ridiculous...
It is even though its quite a lot of work to get there and lets be honnest, it would probably have been cheaper over the last 13 years to buy a 3.2 porsche convertible... But its my first car and I love it way more than any modern car I bought during that time.
