Harley has made enough motorcycles. There are so many parked in garages that in 20 years, you'll be able to pick one up with a 55-57 Chevy for under 10k. Just because they are a piece of Americana doesn't mean they can't fail

Now they just need to make it in wagon, not sell it in the US, and I can keep this schtick up for the next model generation.
A turtle looks fast to a snail. Speed is relative. In the high performance motorcycle world, 11 seconds is respectable, but not fast.
There are versions of the Vrod which are faster
Oh, that was just the top 10 of the bikes under 12 seconds on Wikipedia. We can scroll down to stuff like a 15 year old Suzuki SV650 which is a vtwin with about 70 hp.
Just a reminder that fast is relative, but that Harley is fucking slow. I'm all for electric power trains, but let's not put HD on some kind of pedestal here.
On the fence on this one. If this was any other car, the 9 year old photos would be an automatic crack pipe.
Ill play too.
Those blue plaid seats will never make production. Prove me wrong Hyundai
I don't have a problem with a ducati, BMW, or ktm being expensive when the electronics package is extensive. All that tech isn't cheap. But yeah, 23k for a bike is alot. That's why you don't see these on every street corner.
Can we get a “where are they now” version of these articles? You know, find out what they bought, how they like it, and how angry they are at jalopnik for recommending it.
This. They need to compete with Honda and BMW with a full stable of diverse products. For a long time a Harley was a certain type of bike and they really had no competition. But others have pushed into their space and now there have competition in their only segment.
Correct. I'm a 38 year old motorcycle enthusiast and Harley has nothing of interest to me. Indian however . . . .
As a member of #teamorange, I don't find the color combo that offensive actually. But who is out there during this pandemic thinking now is the time to score an i8
Pretty sure they are custom billet wheels designed to look like old Chevy hubcaps.
I don't know what is more distasteful, trying to pitch your luxury goods alongside a pandemic, or the color combo on that i8
4189 has to be GWVR. The Trax has a GWVR of 4387 and they are similar in size/classification or whatever.
How does this weigh 4189lbs when the 3 row traverse weighs 4362lbs and is 2 feet longer and 6" wider?
Indian got so much right with the FTR and I'm glad to see they are running with it. This is on my short list of future bikes
Staged 70 crashes with 146 locomotives. Where’s the story about the ones that used more than 2???
