Yeah, I think this was a bit overblown. Someone probably took a marker and said “Hey, what if it keeps going...to the panhandle, to New Orleans.....”

That’s... weird. It doesn’t entirely make sense to me to add the eq without either a tape deck or CD player. Both of the radios pictured were pretty ubiquitous in 80s GM products.

Time to grab a big trash can and start poking it. Try to put it in a bucket yourself instead of letting it burst onto the floor and spend 3 hours trying to clean it up.

The air intake goes right through the insulation. If you look closely you can seep a pipe going through and apparently into the firewall. If I had to guess I would say it’s plumbed to something well above the waterline to protect it against inhaling spray.

I ordered one with 3 vins from ross tech. Can I make it so I can drive with all assists off without the dash lit up with warnings?

The ID3 will most likely have the same logic as the e-Golf: When you open the driver’s door with the car still “in gear” the parking brake will engage. Even if the car is moving.
