Sweet! I’ve been to GNP like 5 times. Most remote hike I did was Quartz Lake Loop near Bowman Lake and Polebride about 5 years ago. I did the heavily traffic’d Avalanche Lake (beautiful, and not too many folks that continue along the shore of the lake) and Hidden Lake (not that easy hiking on a melting layer of snow)…

Uh, Colorado has two amazing national parks (Rocky Mountain, and Mesa Verde), and Montana can claim Glacier and Yellowstone (the major entrances to the park are in in MT).

Mesa Verde National Park in south western Colorado is way too low.

But North Cascades NP doesn’t have Going To The Sun Road.
