The title also implies all these manufacturers just started making EV’s here to sell this year because of the act. When in reality these plans had been made long before it was signed -_-

The only thing luxurious about a Tesla is the price.

maybe they should just make an aggressive hybrid with a 1 cyl engine that just creates heat for the batteries and the cabin. kind of like what that one guy did with the muffler sticking out from the trunk of his tesla S, but a lot less obnoxious. Maybe even make it a hydrogen engine.

WHO could have seen this coming

Crack pipe

Brought to you by the party of small government, freedom, and personal responsibility.

What in the fucking government overreach is going on here?

They should have revived the ASIMO name. It sounds a whole lot better than AFEELA, and it still has “mobility” in the acronym (Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility), because I guess that’s important now.

Really? No. First, KG is almost “LG.” Second, at least here in the USA, if you use the word “mobility” on your product, we think of this:

Probably because they actually *try*

Why does Zeekr have better looking vehicles than Tesla? Their exterior and interiors look worlds better than what Tesla offers. Can Tesla fire Musk and hire Zeeker’s CEO and design team? I’d totally rock that 001 if it was offered here.

Not only that, but Tesla’s primary market segment of first adopters were the ones who believed in Saint Elon, the visionary liberal, futurist. His behavior over Twitter has pretty much dispelled all parts of that image. How many of his followers want to follow Elon the alt-right slur-champion and world renowned

The Nissan looks better.

Yeah I’d have my doubts- the Model S is essentially a decade old at this point. No major updates on the immediate horizon for the X, 3 or Y, the Cybertruck is still vaporware and the Model 2 is likely waayyyyyy off on the horizon. Tesla has been cruising quite nicely for about 4 years now but its gonna have to

Strong disagree on this one. That rear-quarter glass is hideous.

In six months Teslas have gone from status symbols to the automotive equivalent of MAGA hats. It’s astonishing; I’ve never seen any brand lose so much goodwill for such a stupid reason before.

You can say that about most any car from decades ago, yet a significant chunk of the population still wants them, enough to drive the price of a old cars well over the practical comparison test that you are applying.

...(Trucks) are subject to less stringent fuel economy standards.

And to this I say: Good Riddance.

honestly the simple answer is you restore the cockpit without actually replacing the internal hardware (just make the lights and switches for fun effect). Then give it a good once over with some paint on the outside. then just set it up in Vegas or Nashville as a tourist trap. maybe allow people to reserve it for
