That car is absolutely ruined. Who could think all that blocky junk hanging off that car looked better than this?

From what I am seeing on Reddit, Ford dealers are burning bridges with Maverick like there is no tomorrow, pulling crap like this and quoting required minimum markups of thousands of dollars. I’ve seen the number $5,000.00 mentioned more than once.

Ford might move a few more EVs if they marketed a few, even one, that wasn’t targeted towards the one percenters.

Not being able to wrench doesn’t diminish anyone’s ability to love cars, but I can see maybe wanting to be elsewhere at this point.

I’m partial to “Hotter than the hubs of Hell.”

Honestly, I’ve always been like that, willing to scrimp on everything to get the car I really wanted, but it was always to buy a fun car, not some utilitarian boring-ass SUV/crossover/semi-truck sized pickup.

I am all for reigning in police overreach, and tacking on exorbitant penalties in the form of unrealistic storage fees (should be capped at competitive all day rates) and selling people’s cars is bullshit, but the city should be allowed some sort of deterrent for not paying parking fees.

I’d rather have a pristine stock sunroof car.

Well since Tesla has been lying for years about Ought-to Pilot, big time fudging the range numbers doesn’t surprise me in the least.

1st gear - Yeah, that’s about as bullshitty as bullshit gets. Wasting big money on self-driving is a distraction that will allow China to pull ahead in EV manufacturing if anything.

Every time I see BYD in print I see BVD at first glance. UNDERWEARMOBILE to the rescue!

Exactly. And for the most part North American brands, and nearly everyone else that sells here, are ignoring not only the low end, but the medium end, too.

Knock knock.

The slip is probably much more pronounced than the survey indicates. If you’ve ever taken a JD Power survey, it pretty much steers you into all the topics it wants to cover, with little to no way to enter additional or free-form comments.

I thought all the early Escorts looked pretty good until the second generation 1991 cars. The interior room in the first generation cars was impressive as well.

Looks promising at first glance, but it all goes to hell when you see the side view. And notice the sad, flat black plastic up front.

2nd gear - The sentencing and fines are preposterously light. How can fraud of this magnitude be dismissed  so easily?

Anything that should be part of the car, like heated seats, safety equipment, etc. is a very hard no. I would not buy the car. Especially features that are part of the car for a certain period, then expire.

I hate it when people destroy nice vintage cars (look at that interior!) to make stupid shit like this.
