I would say at least in Ford’s case, it’s Ford garbage dealer allocation system. Locally you won’t even see a Mach-E on the lot and everything that arrives is already spoken for. The only one I’ve been able to see in person (not driving) at the dealer was one on the showroom floor waiting for the delivery appointment…

The dealers are right. CarPlay just works. Android folks may be more flexible, but this will be a hard no for the Apple peeps. Such a hard no that they’ll be much more likely to choose a different vehicle that go on a big learning curve with GM, especially with no off ramp to alternative choices.
