A better argument would have been the law as passed screws over the consumer and will seriously curtail EV adoption in the US because the primary beneficiaries are the companies that make playthings for the one percenters.

This is the real reason Alabama lawmakers care so much about making abortion illegal, they don’t want to risk wrecking the labor pool that’s making them all rich and funding their dark money donations.
So the driver is really out of the frying pan and into the fire now?
Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes.
I would be paranoid if you couldn’t opt out of the updates. I have a 12 year-old laptop that runs perfectly because I don’t allow Microsoft to add bloatware two or three times a week that crash the performance (yes I run two firewall/virus programs, the only valid updates). During the same time period nearly everyone…
It’s impressive but my personal top of the like would be the EcoBoost.
KIA showing up Tesla by a wide margin made my day.
CR actually breaks that down in the results, you can tell if the poor ratings are coming from powertrain issues or nuisance stuff. It ain’t perfect, but it’s a helluva lot more meaningful than J.D. Power’s bullshit rankings.
These looked worlds better when they first came out, the current version looks like a morbidly obese Focus.
The rest of it is nice, but yes, that wave thing is ugly, and even more importantly, impedes rearward visibility.
I like my rear suspensions less visible, but otherwise the exterior design is more cohesive than at least half the vehicles currently in mass production. The only thing this is really crying out for is a less homely steering wheel.
It’s fun, and it’s interesting, but 98,000 miles does not a time capsule make. And I think that price would give most buyers pause even if the car had 18,000 miles. Maybe if it had 8,000.
I wanted to give this 10 stars.
3rd gear - Chinese EV buyers don’t want to be seen behind the wheel of something that will make them look like they support a hate-spewing asshat anymore than US buyers.
IMV looks cute from a distance, but angry when you get up close.
Folks that actually need a truck for work is at most 1 in 5,000 buyers, tops. Tip: If you have a fancy cover over the bed, it ain’t a work truck. But since everyone lies and will say its for business when the most serious hauling it will ever do is 4 sets of golf clubs, you can’t have exceptions.
Surprised Subaru didn’t do better because when it comes to safety they generally do more than they have to.
I am sure they were practicing so they wouldn’t get embarrassed teaching sex ed. Happiness. Hap... penis. Hap-PENIS!
1st gear: What the literal fuck. I’m all about encouraging EV development, but fuck GM and it’s resource-squandering Hummers and other bullshit toys for the rich. We bailed them out once and they fucked the tax payers by closing plants, firing workers and exporting jobs. Are we really going to fall for GM’s lies again?…
I don’t think these results are very surprising. There’s not much variation in aluminum wheel designs so the AI doesn’t have much to look at. It would be like inputting all the US traffic warning signs and asking AI to design a new one. Odds are are it would be yellow with black lettering and have 4 sides.
