Seriously? Teslas burn at 1/10 of the rate of other cars but they make the news every single time. I remember this one and the score of other incidents in the entire history of the company that have been the fault of the car. But it looks like this one was set on fire intentionally. So it has little to do with Teslas

Interesting. I had a BMW i3 for 5 years and fast charged it a lot. I experienced a very low rate of broken or occupied chargers. I agree Superchargers are slightly better, I have a 2018 Model3, but not a deal killer.

You should not be able to have unrestrained dogs in your car. I see all kinds of people driving with little dogs on their laps in the driver seat. What about a law against that?

Tesla's system has that. But it only checks every 30 seconds and then issues the first warning.

If you can't figure out how to use supermarket self checkout you should not be driving a vehicle, either.

I hate loud vehicles which is one reason I drive EV for the last 5 years. And my 1955 SoCal house did not have insulation. It does now, tho. Shhhhhh . . .

Yep. Except the BMW i3.

The steering wheel needs to detect resistance, not just “something making contact”. So your hand can be at 7 or 5, kind of hanging there and it will work to keep the warning at bay.

I can remove both hands from my Tesla Model 3 for 30 seconds at a time. It helps me on long drives at night, or anytime on the California freeways during stop & go traffic. Makes me less fatigued. Lately it has gotten better . . . or maybe I know better when to not use it, as in traffic filled transitions,

I pay $0.11 per kW - hour here in SoCal (L.A. county). How do you pay so much?

Every EV sold today uses the same plug except Tesla and those come with an adapter. Stop the decade-old FUD.

You should be happy, then, that you did not have the problem.

I find that my silly iDrive wheel in my BMW is easier to use than a touch screen in my Tesla.

I had one of those in red. Caught fire in the 405 and the interior melted like a Dahli painting. Cost me $250 to have it towed away for junk.

This is why Waymo has taken the better path.

It does work. We have 2 85-mile EVs, no gas cars, live in the suburbs, and only use public EVSE’s to charge occasionally. When we want to go 1,000 miles, we rent.
