Haven't read the review or the other comments but we are all referring to Laurel as the Blackmail Cannery now aren't we?

Last week's recap of Hannibal with the show runner also ran with a big old spoilery title and photo on the main page just hours after the episode aired. Not cool AV club, not cool at all.

Both guest judges this week mentioned that the snatch game was filmed 'yesterday' or 'the other day' when at the final runway. It struck me as odd, I don't remember anyone on show really referring to the time scale it is filmed on - other than each morning when the queens enter the workroom. Maybe I've just been

I love that these interviews are happening weekly and that they are getting prime position on the main avclub website, but can the sub editors (or whoever) tone it down on the spoilers a little? I saw this article on the site before I got to watch the episode. Between the photo and the title of the article it didn't

Yes, which is why "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge wasn't nominated in it's year. The song was originally written for (but not used in) Romeo + Juliet.

Agree on both counts. Though with Community, it didnt become a chore in season 3 but it did turn into a show I half watch while surfing the net etc.

A Song of Ice and Fire.

I'm not at all good at picking up on symbolism, but the tire Ollie was hammering represents Roy, yeah?

"Oliver and Roy don’t love each other"

(spoilers i guess?)

I found season 1 Thea to be just as much of a dead weight on the show in terms of what the character was bringing to the plot and how she was written, but I find that actress much more watchable.
Anyway, this week's ep will tell show us if they have actually turned the corner with Laurel or not.

My rabid dislike of Laurel has become a bit of a joke between my friends and I. Imagine my surprise that when they gave her some agency and half a brain I could actually watch her storyline without yelling at the TV - in fact I actually liked her. Crazy.

I quite liked the combination of RI and Blood v Water up until the merge. It allowed a lot of tension and strategy to build up within and between tribes. I don't think RI works in regular seasons as the two tribe are too separate, they just want to beat each other. Having more time with the two tribes within talking

Definitely. Season 2 especially gave me the feeling of 'this could be awesome or turn to crap at any second'. Turns out season 2 and 3 could and would do both. It's risky, crazy, stupid TV but that makes it so much more entertaining (even if particular episodes of story lines aren't).

I think the initial premise for the Brody story line had a built in expiration date, so don't see it as the writing painting themselves into a corner. Brody's story wasn't going to end any way but in his death.

A. Probably my favourite episode of the show

its a B from me.

I really loved the first half or so of this episode; until the Ash-bot was introduced.
The idea of only communicating with someone via chat/text (even if that person isnt real on the other end) really struck a chord with me.

My year 10 English teacher always got his classes confused. One term we had to watch Forrest Gump. The teacher would come into class and ask "have you guys started watching Forrest Gump yet?" and we would all say "noooooo". We must have watched the first half of the movie 3-4 times before he caught on that we were

I think it is the combination that makes it work.
Redemption island never really works as the remaining tribes don't want anyone to return to the game which means there is no real investment in the outcome.
This season the loved ones dynamic paired with redemption island means that there is a lot of conflict and angst
