I saw this movie when I was still “newly” out, and still pretty terrified of AIDS (I also had suffered from a pretty similar childhood of sexual abuse as portrayed in the movie). I couldn’t walk afterwards, and my friend had to sit with me for a while until I got my bearings. I thought I knew what I was getting myself…

This was one of the best films (that I’ve seen) dedicated to the topic of child sex abuse and the lingering damage it causes. I found it difficult to watch and thought the actors did a remarkable job.
