I got a Surf Shelf for ~$35 at Christmas for this same reason. It works better, and looks nicer, but I like hers better for the extra space and functionality. Grrr...

My REI french press / travel mug is the best camp coffee method I have found. Just put your cream and sugar in first and stir well and let stand for a few minutes before pressing. Best way to start the day at 13,000 feet. Mmmm #coffee
