Hopefully this is a lesson for the smaller game makers. Don’t get swallowed up by the big dog just because its the easy way out.

It’ll kill your soul and destroy your dreams.

“He hasn’t stopped thinking about the things that he’s going to do when he gets out,” Wyatt said.

Well, he might still get a visitor, even if it’s Liam Neeson.

You should go visit him. Probably don’t drink the tea though.

SHATNER: So I’ve got this great...idea. God is real...

Clinton’s novel was not the worst celebrity/famous person work of fiction I’ve ever written.  Those would have to go to William Shatner, who ramped up the already existing Gary Stu tendencies Star Trek writers commonly extended to James Tiberius Kirk to the Nth Degree.

Think of all the lives we could save if we made driving illegal. Fuck your "even one life" bullshit. Use math, not emotion.

Not to mention the person usually sees the stop point then immediately makes a U-turn when possible and hightails out of there. I’ve witnessed that a few times.

Ugh. I never drink and drive, but I still avoid DUI checkpoints because they cause massive traffic backups and waste everyone’s time. I’m happy to report them to Waze.

Manic the only guy here speaking the truth!  Not to mention it’s unconstitutional.

Practically, it’s not possible. Between margin of error, the bodies processing time for alcohol, and common alcohol containing prosucts, a barrier of 0 would mean arresting a lot of people who themselves aren’t even aware they have any alcohol in their system, or may not have drank anything at all.

Oh yeah, it was meant as sarcasm. The “if it saves one life” logic is absurd. There are a million better ways to save one life. Hell, there are better ways to prevent DUIs per dollar spent than a checkpoint.

Hey, let’s just put a system in every car that makes it shut down and impounds itself if it ever goes more than 2 mph over the speed limit, or automated machine gun turrets that shoot anyone under the influence of drugs. Think of all the imaginary lives that could be saved with zero tolerance systems!

But then you would have to factor in all the additional deaths caused from having to travel great distances in the extreme elements (deserts or polar vortexes) without the comfort of A/C or Heating.

You just had to derail things by bringing the facts into it

That’s like saying that shooting every bear has the chance of saving at least 1 life that could be lost.

Ding, ding, ding! They are looking for seat-belt violations #1, insurance problems #2, pot smokers #3, any other vehicle defect #4, and maybe drunks.

On the one hand, they’re probably getting a few DUI drivers off the street. That’s good.

I’m wondering if the similar “theme” she had in mind is that it has black people in it. Ugh.
