I prefer to empty my pockets of annoying, jingling change at every opportunity, take the resulting jar of coins to the bank every few weeks to cash in, and get $30-$50 cash for my trouble.

I never cared for bbcode. I just cut and past and use the good ol' HTML italic tag, or may be the blockquote tag if allowed. bbcode is just one moer thing to know. A pox on it, I say.

I need to check that my avatar picture is showing up...here's hoping.

I'm intrigued. What's costing you so much?

I use google's chat all the time when I'm at my gmail inbox. Problem is, because I have a hosted gmail account, I can't configure Apple's iChat (my IM app of choice) to use my gmail account. I could do so if my gmail address was something@gmail.com, but apparently not when it's hosted (i.e.,

No, the cycle needs to power the computer! you stop pedaling, you get data loss.

Does no one else find it strange that many feel entitled to be able to listen in on a two-sided conversation and likewise are offended that now they can only hear one side of it?

I really don't have a problem with my own phone. If I don't want to be bothered, I turn it off. If I don't want to talk to a particular person or at a particular moment, I hit "ignore." Ah, but when I DO want to be in touch... I still have a hard time remembering what life was like when you could not contact a

I think there's entirely too much whining about cell phones. It's the technology everyone loves to hate, it seems. I for one absolutely love mine and I welcome the great things it brings to all our lives.

I think there may be some misunderstanding about couple of basic Windows-on-your-Mac facts.

I don't know. I strongly prefer my coffee from places that serve proper espresso drinks. Even if I'm not having a cappuccino, it's been my observation that such places have superior coffee. And life is too short for bad coffee. (Same applies for beer, IMO.)

I also have been using a Macbook Pro with Parallels. I really love it. The performance isn't always the same as booting directly into Windows, the convenience of running the two OSs side-by-side more than makes up for it.

I'd recommend a martial art or something similar (dancing etc.) for exercise; it's a lot easier to persevere when your mind's on learning a skill rather than on counting seconds or inches on a treadmill.

I absolutely HATE the way Firefox handles my RSS feeds. It doesn't TELL me when something new has been published! I, the user, am still obligated to navigate to it's menu item and guess at whether the title sounds familiar or not.

I wouldn't be willing to shell out that much dough on an MP3 player that doesn't do MP3

Ground chuck with garlic powder and plenty of SOY SAUCE mixed in.

I often take pictures of fast action (but not the kind that requires panning) with my Nikon D50 (low end DSLR). I find that adjusting the ISO higher (to 1600 maybe) and the using Shutter priority setting bumped up to about (higher than 250), I can stop things pretty adequately and still get a decent exposure. I think this service is doomed if you can't burn your movie to a standard DVD. There are other restrictions that rankle me, but that one's a killer.
