This is a good and under-recognized practice.

Sleeping with a top sheet is one thing, but sleeping with it tucked in at the bottom of the bed, as Dan McQuade suggests, is insane behavior.

Get a library card! Most have a pretty good ebook collection, but it does take a little bit of management because of waitlists. I stock up my holds list and I almost never buy books.

Kind of unrelated, but Amazon’s Mechanical Turk program strikes me as extremely sketchy.

They’ve had a pretty weird schedule for the last month or so. A bunch of games packed pretty close together, then a longer than normal break, then the London game, then another longer than normal break, then a couple at home, then to the west coast. I think it’s just catching up to them.

Boston is also very unaffordable, has terrible traffic and a transportation system that is increasingly becoming more of a novelty than a public service.

Only a fool goes with the traditional hand tossed pizza at Domino’s. It’s gotta be either the handmade pan or the thin crust.

There have been several games this year where I was convinced he must have scored 25-30 points and he only had 12-15. It’s like a weird magic trick.

There are legions of sports radio callers who see a big man that doesn’t average 20 points or 10 rebounds or 2 blocks and do not understand the point.

He has been incredible. It’s confusing to look at the box score after the game and see a relatively modest traditional stat line next to his name, even though it felt like he was doing something on almost every play.

I don’t understand why the university felt obligated to specifically designate the money for anything. It seems like they should have simply stuck it in the general operating fund.

Farm horse people are okay, but they get up annoyingly early in the morning on account of their habit of needing to “go feed.”

Where I was raised “boat people” are mostly fisherman (either professional or hobbyist) and “horse people” are barnyard folk with pigs and chickens and whatnot.

His twitter handle seems more personal and less marketing-y than a lot of other athletes. Although I guess it’s still probably likely that someone in his inner circle accesses it regularly.
