I do hope it didn’t come across that I was belittling head injuries in any way at all.  Looking at number of NFL players/BMX riders etc that have committed suicide as a result of multiple concussions scares the bejesus out of me.

I was discussing old head injuries with a friend recently, we’re both in our late 30's, early 40's.

There was one in the town I grew up in, the owner used to run it in Hill-climbs and Sprints. He was a good driver and the car was very well prepped. Whenever I saw it parked around town I would go over and drool over it. Bastard never offered to take me out in it though..

And we find ourselves agreeing with “Even Bigger and Even Dumber”, being a really great option

I have a co-worker who loves her vehicles, was given a courtesy vehicle which was the Flex, and she traded and bought one. She says it’s the best handling big vehicle she’s driven

You’re right. I had to go back and watch again, but there are no brake lights - So slightly more understandable...However from the ‘onboard’ perspective we have it is VERY clear that the car has slowed down significantly.

I think it was the first of the 2nd gen. It would be around 14 years ago now? My company car, which was at home, was a Megane TDI and it was a great little car!

While working on assignment at the other end of the UK I was given a practically brand new Renault Laguna, and boy was I happy!

I took a German car to the main dealer with a small list of necessities, and a list of ‘Preventative’ measures. The quote was over $4,800 for the work. Suitably disgusted I shopped the parts online, did some research into the work that was required to complete the task at home, then promptly sold the car.
