Yes, exactly that. They do live in LA and have friends in the UCB, I think. They seem to be heavily influenced by U Talkin' U2 2 Me and Comedy Bang! Bang! - especially in their early episodes. When I listened to their first episode I thought it was like they were trying to be exactly like Adam Scott Aukerman.

My point wasn't that they've become famous but that they've met their idols without being famous. They're 27 on the comedy podcast iTunes chart right now, though. I think they've cracked the top 10 at least once.

Yeah, but why wouldn't you start from the beginning since the show is winding down?

What about the Gilmore Guys? They're landing interviews with people from that show who, while they're not international rock stars, are celebrities. Before their podcast no one had ever heard of them.
