I wish I could pretend like I never went to a 311, Incubus, and goddam Sugar Ray concert in the 9th grade.

It'd be nice if courts actually examined any of these cases.

Ha Ha, what a story!

No you're right, I'll just have to be sure to keep my empty hands above my head at all times when outside so I don't accidentally threaten some touchy cop. After all, Appearing to be Armed is a crime punishable by death, sentence to be handed down and executed immediately by the "arresting" officer.

Do you think computers are powered by TVs and newspapers? How old are you?

Oh cool, if a cop sentences me to immediate death because I "appear to be" armed in real time then it's probably justified.

Wait, it's controversial to believe that police shouldn't be extra-legally executing people in the streets?

Phil Spec-ter.

I had almost the same experience at the same age. Now I'm 34 and just digging into Philip K. Dick's stuff which is similarly mind-blowing, though much more cynical in its humor. So when you're out of Vonnegut, I suggest "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" as your next move

Neelix sucks but is a moron. I will always blame Janeway for not even asking Q if he could zap them home. I only lasted a few more eps after that one, so lasting was my pissedness.

I believe you meant to say that THE LINE MUST BE DRAWN HHYAAH!

*Pushes up glasses*

You're making the same mistake I did at first. Don't watch it for the plot. Watch like it's an action-oriented soap opera where all the characters are constantly on some low-grade hallucinogen. And for the bug eyed staring close-ups. And Olmos's mustache.

Aw you guys shook internet hands. Once again the AV Club gives me hope for the future of comments sections.

I would say there's no question. It's different though, as the characters in the book they're reading don't exist in the same world as them.

Your second paragraph is why I love Japanese horror so much. It takes place in urban areas (apartments, offices, schools), often in broad daylight. I relate to the atmosphere so much better than when it's some giant farmhouse in the middle of nowhere or some other location I'm equally unlikely to ever be in. Japanese

Yeah, Rappaport of the Long Island, Florida Crowes.

You got me there. I'm definitely the one taking shit way too seriously right now.

Now this is an attempt to keep folks from clicking on the evidence I suppose. It's clean, y'all.
