It seems to me that the first, oh, three-and-a-half seasons of his episodes are really one of, if not the strongest stretch of the show. Although maybe I think that because season 12 was my introduction to the series and there were also a bunch of Hammer horror and Nigel Kneale style narratives in those seasons, too,…
GM don’t have Vauxhall or Opel. They were sold to PSA a few months ago.
GM sold Vauxhall to Peugeot the same time they sold Opel. They are trying to sell Chevrolets directly to the Europeans, which is going as hideously as one might expect.
The era had seen Doctor Who become much more of an ensemble show, with the Doctor supported not just by his usual companions, but also a cast of regulars who were part of UNIT, a military and scientific research group whose job it was to safeguard Earth from alien threats. But the show was getting ready to move on…
When Germany sent us their people. They didn’t send us their best. They sent us draft dodgers and pimps... like Fredrich Drumpf.
Question, what cars are GM and Ford exporting? The only vehicle Ford builds here then sells elsewhere is the Mustang. GM has Vauxhall which is the European equivalent to Chevrolet (seriously, just scratch off the bowtie and stick a Griffin in it’s place).
Absolutely no way that the Detroit 3 would ever let Trump kill the chicken tax and threaten their cash cow pickup truck market.
Tasked by his own people of stopping the Daleks from ever having existed, the serial’s most famous moment is the Doctor, hesitant to tap the wires together that could end his most evil enemies, asking a simple question: “Do I have that right?”
Boy, Ford and GM both have to be pissed as shit. They no longer benefit from the possibility of exporting cars to Europe, and now more competition for pickups here.
Holy shit, being able to get small trucks?
I’d hardly call sub-six second times to 60 “lazy and lumbering,” and that’s the T5. The bigger powerplants will do it in 4.8 seconds.
What I find most interesting about it, is that it has real fucking fog lights. Not LED light strips. Not some weird chromed plastic trim piece. Actual fog lights. Look at every other Volvo out there now. No fogs.
Volvo really, really gets dashboard aesthetics. The whole region is a feast for the eyes.
I have a 2017 V60 T6 R-Design with the additional Polestar tuning, and some of what you’re saying can be found in the current car. This is not a 10/10ths car handling-wise; you do get some vagueness turning into a corner at speed and what feels like torque steer powering out of the corner (it would be nice if the AWD…

I’m going to be in the market for a family car within the next two years, and nobody has my attention like Volvo.
I’m slightly confused by this. Is a sub-6 second 0-60 time slow these days, or did the old butt tachometer say it wasn’t a 5.8 second car?
Needs MOAR Polestar
