BACK IN MY DAY WE WORE 3 SUIT JACKETS WHILE WATCHING TV AND WENT SWIMMING IN WEDDING DRESSES.

I'm 27, and I realize I only have two "looks":

All you millennials

I'm glad to know that Michael Kors is over because I was just wondering if I had to shell out the cash for a purse. Now I can save money and just pretend I'm ahead of the fashion curve. So what purses are the cool athleisure kids buying now?

So obviously I can't be representative of everyone since people are apparently wearing lululemon for shits and giggles and I think $15 is too expensive for leggings, but for me, unless it's from the 60% off rack, Macy's is a ~splurge~. Like I bought a dress that was only like 15% off for my wedding rehearsal dinner

Please, America, continue your journey into torpidity so that I may continue to shine bright like a diamond at 50% off.

That's basically what I wore as a kid when I had a morning paper route, in Upstate New York. Sure, go outside at 4:30 in the morning in -20 weather and walk around for 2 hours. No big... when you have a parka, a scarf, a hat under your hood, two layers of pants over a pair of tights, wool socks inside waterproof

When I used to wear a fluffy / puffy Freedom 'Fro, I would loosely (french) braid or twist my hair so it would lie closer to my scalp, and wear a headband like this in winter:

I came to say pretty much the exact things. I practically live in the bath tub during the winter months. I swear it is the only way I can regain sensation in my fingers and toes. The trade-off is that I get seriously dry skin from taking scalding hot baths.

I'm born and raised in the PNW and it does get cold here! Not on the wet side of the mountains maybe but over here on the dry side we get our fair share of single digit and below zero temps. Just not this year.

I used to wear scarves, but now that I've discovered neck gaiters (as someone mentioned upthread) I am not looking back! (Fellow Minnesotan here). They are less bulky and can be pulled up over your ears, nose, & mouth.

This. Wet cold is the worst. I'd take a dry 20 over a wet 40 any day.

This. I bought a pair of Cougar boots because we moved to Toronto. I should have been wearing them in BC but I didn't know how much of a difference they make! Having warm feet changes everything!

Growing up in the pacific NW, I feel like keeping warm is really difficult, even though the temperatures don't drop that low. That's because it's always 40 degrees and raining and that wet means that you are cold-to-the-bone and can't warm up! There never seemed to be anything completely adequate for that situation.

I started to read, and then realized that this is not directed at people who live in northern Canada where it is well below -20C (-4 F) for 6-8 months a year.

It actually ended up working out for the best but...

But the best thing about going to friends weddings are the ill advised hook ups! Or were, back in the day.

No one.

We had to have security break into the one of the bridesmaid's rooms to wake her up before the ceremony, since she was passed out drunk and wouldn't answer the phone or the pounding on her door. It basically all went off OK after that, but she did have some trouble standing up straight.
