At least like a dozen people. :)
Exactly - the soccor moms and general public don’t need offroad capability. Any car can do what this thing can do: drive down some leaf-covered lane at the cottage. Make a better wagon, drop the lift kit, and get rid of the ugly cladding. In short: bring back the V70R. I am waiting.
They are! You can see it with those awesome Camaro sales numbers and in the way every Corvette since 1974 has continually appreciated in value unlike say the 2nd gen Ford GT which is another dud by Ford...
Please explain the metrics you’ve used to determine “no one wants” this. I would argue that someone paying one million dollars more than the original price pretty much suggests you have no idea what you’re talking about.
Doug literally just purchased the previous Ford GT, and had an existential crisis over how much he spent on it lol.

The short list is comprised mostly of VW Golf Sportwagons and All-Tracks, Buick Regal Tour-Xs, Subaru Imprezas, Volvo V60 and V90s, and a smattering of Mini Clubmans. (There was also more than a few RAM ProMaster Citys on…
I feel the same way.. It’s not the hp/tq numbers that stopped my from buying one... It’s the powerband and transmission that stopped me. My H22a and H23a Preludes were FAR more fun. The BRZ motor comes to life at about 7,000 RPM and redlines at 7,100. The H22/23 came to life around 5,000 and redlined at 7,300 or so...
Multiple reasons. Miata owners don’t act like their cars are the fastest thing out there. Miata has been slowly but surely been gaining power while staying around the same weight.
At this point I want them to put in a motor that makes less peak HP, just to piss the world off.
