This is exactly it. I’m not even really all that bothered that old, outdated applications are getting removed (this applies to thinks like the AMD Catalyst Control Center, which I’m perfectly happy with Windows removing). The only thing I want is a box that tells me what’s removed so I don’t go looking for it later.

If they want to remove apps that are outdated or incompatible, they should at least have the decency to pop up a notification or an approval page.
