That's Numberwang!
And that's Numberwang!
I have felt this way since way before the election. It is almost uncanny how this film keeps coming to my mind with Trump. And now we have North Korea and the nukes. The darkest timeline of the movie is playing out, without a Christopher Walken to change the course.
Don't know those.. I'll check them out.
It is a great solo.. The Baba O Reilly solo is also fairly iconic, but there's something about that won't get fooled again solo, the repetitive pounding chords with its subtle changes that resolve to the root when the drums kick in, and then octaves to emphasize the point..the thing about that solo is that there's…
The thing about it, to me , is the gradual progression of the piece, both in tone and in dynamics. The fact that it is in 13/4 time is a bit mind bending, and that it doubles up to 13/8 time even more so. But it is the evolution of the theme that is so riveting. There's lots of sites that refer to it.. here's one.. its pretty nasty.
Until they found the child torture sex training room, or whatever that was, anyway… I'm amazed after they found that, people are still praising him.
See, nowadays its just so hard to tell anymore. Is this a real quote? Is it a joke? Did he really say this? Its all through the looking glass these days..
I saw him a few years before his last tour, and loved it.. maybe you saw him on a bad night, or maybe he was going downhill fast, but the only thing I didn't see was him doing the splits. Otherwise, it was fantastic…maybe the few years between tours was the difference..
Shows that I did not go to, thinking that there's always next year, that I regret missing, of bands in their prime:
