And she's from my hometown, Calgary, too..! Yay! I know she will do our city proud, and had no idea that kind of talent existed here. I'm kind of excited to see where this goes. It seems like a total rebirth of this brand, and its interesting to see such a change after so many years as another genre.. almost like

See, and thats why this site is so great.. actually learnin' new stuff.. :) Thanks for that, very interesting..

This was such a great documentary, and Ali was indeed everything he says he was, and then some.. :) But one of the side benefits of this documentary was learning how much of a mean monster of a fighter George Foreman was. The back story of him in this movie is also wonderful. The reason Ali's victory was such a

I was really hoping to see Willy Deville's version.. so wonderfully refreshingly different from the hendrix version… check it out..

This was great.. so much fun to see these guys from back then, just having a laugh. I wish I was at that game..

What about Jeremy Irons and Jeremy Irons in Dead Ringers? They were almost identical!

I wondered about that too, as I remember seeing this years ago at the Calgary International Film Festival.. I'm surprised it took this long… but its a great doc, and I think of it as part of a triptych of necessary music history viewing along with the Funk Brothers and the Muscle Shoals docs. All fantastic.

We have a couple of pinball nerds in my city that have been buying up and restoring some of the classics and then having them available to play in various spots around town where they don't have to worry about people damaging or vandalizing them, etc.. I've been able to play, as a result, Twilight Zone, Addams

There is that game available on android and apple.. pinball arcade… its pretty awesome, and you can get a pretty realistic classic game experience.. but you have to supply your own beer and buds… otherwise, its pretty good..

Its funny.. at the time it was going on, I was more entranced by all the new computer video games, the asteroids and tank battle, etc.. years later, when pinball was in its golden years (the 90's.. who knew?) I no longer cared for either.

There is a pinball machine called Black Hole, which sounds like what you are talking about.. its not that common, but considered valuable and ahead of its time..

See, here's the problem..While clearly there are songs from the Beatles so essential and so perfect that they can not be skipped. Which brought us the last column. And of course, there is room for debate.

ah yes.. I suppose.. I do feel better after drinking a bunch of it, so there's that…perhaps thats just the medicine taking effect..

But its yummy….

They weren't able to control the camera machine. It only took one picture every 24 hours. So, speaking of the present tense, all you were left with was one clue as to something happening in the future. and [spoiler alert] it turned out that another picture was being taken at the 12 hour mark, at 8 am, and one of the

As I said, its been awhile since I've seen this.. I don't think they were being vague.. I think the original concerns were not that there were letters of warnings, just of scenes of violence or intruders, and no way of knowing what was going on 24 hours later. The camera took a picture at exactly the same time every

yes, but that was the problem. The photo was of them 24 hours later. So they had 24 hours to figure it out. And lets say it shows the aftermath of a trashing of the apartment, or a stranger inside, or one of them missing, those kinds of things are not immediately answerable, and the possible harm of what the

yes. this. or a piece of paper with a message saying, do not trust the mailman, or something like that. That part did get intriguing..

Hmm.. I saw this last september at the Calgary International Film Festival, and I dunno.. I kind of liked it..Enquido sort of sets it out, but I thought the way it played out in the movie was interesting. I also thought the characters were not as bad and un-sympathetic as this reviewer seems to think.
