My ASS increases idle emissions though. Wife hates it.

Easy.  An instrument cluster that is backlit even when headlights are not on.  Because of that, I often see people driving down the freeway with no headlights or taillights on because they have no clue they are off.

I sense the inevitable slideshow of Jalopnik’s readers least favorite modern features.

The lack of visibility. That seems to be widespread but isn’t really a feature. I have to crane my neck to see around my rear view mirror and all the sensors when going around on-ramps.

It has to be dozing off.  Even if your eyes close for just a second, you never really know how long you’ve been out, and know that if it happens again you could die or kill someone else.  The handful of times it’s happened to me, when I realize that I just woke up, it’s the most jarring and adrenaline-inducing

When you go to hit the clutch, but there’s no clutch there, only a widened brake pedal that you just stomped on.

You’re on a two lane road with a ~50mph speed limit. You’re driving a car with moderate-to-low ground clearance and you’re behind, say a pickup, at a safe distance mind you. The truck in front of you passes safely over an object in the middle of the lane like a rock or roadkill or something without braking or swerving.

It’s a very lonely feeling running out of wiper fluid in a snowstorm.

You know that one day every 3 or 4 years where you see a half a dozen snow flakes with a little bit of ice, and it takes people 15 hours to get home from work?  Meanwhile it makes national news and everyone laughs at you.  That’s winter, up north we have 4 months of it and we deal with it like a normal occurrence.

Please submit your resume.

Avon makes them.  :)

Granny shifting; not double-clutching like you should

It would also sound much better. But then they definitely wouldn’t have been able to write those paragraphs about sustainability.

They’re recording the GPS coordinates of all the cars, along with the time and date, and a picture of the vehicle, and storing it all in a database, even if parked on private property.

I believe this is an actual safety issue that needs to be addressed. Maybe not just discontinued, but perhaps recalled as well. Though it does double as a lamp for illuminating the path for the driver, the reversing/backup light’s main function is to alert others of the driver’s intent. This “exit lights” feature

More people need to talk about this so GM changes it. I’ve gotten to the point where I completely ignore GM reverse lights as they no longer communicate the vehicle will be moving backwards soon.

GM making bad decisions?  You don’t say!

If you look at the lead photograph, the right wheel is pointing hard left. This pretty much is tripping the vehicle.

Would you pay that for an unadulterated Saturn Sky? No. So why would you pay it for a Saturn Sky with a bad body kit?
