Only tangentially related, but the ‘Moonstruck’ screenwriter also wrote a play ‘Savage in Lumbo’ that I saw and loved at college. 20 years later I reconnected with (and eventually married) the director of that production.

Next time a Democrat gets caught in a situation like this they should say ‘I’ll resign when (sitting Republican who has  done much worse) does’.

I fucking hate Republicans and their fucking sexual double standards.

How can you watch ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and vote for Trump.   People can be so obtuse.

2020 will be won or lost based on getting the African American and LatinX vote out in force. The ‘good whites’ like myself will fall into line.

they are more noisy then popular and much more lock step in opinions then the Democratic party which is a loose coalition of diverse interests.

Excellent analysis. I respect Pelosi and I respect the Squad, but in this situation Pelosi needs to realize that she’s behind public opinion and need to get the herd of cats together with the squad on this. The progressives are the biggest caucus right now, and Blue dogs are largely irrelevant at this point.

and I gave her the same reply you did.

my wife said the same thing

He also has a supporting role in ‘Gentleman Jack’ on HBO, which I loved.

She’s going to break out on Super Tuesday.

Julian Castro. A Harris/ Castro ticket and a populist campaign will drive up voter enthusiasm. and African American and Latino votes will swamp the polls.  Warren for Senate Majority Leader, and she gets to set the legislative agenda far better then she would as president.  America Wins.

My presidential spidey sense started tingling for her about 2017.  I got the same feeling for Bill clinton in 1991 and Obama as early as 2004.  She’s going to take all the marbles and have a wonderful working relationship with Senate Majority Leader Warren.

With my sticky build I’m going to have to settle for Edwardian beige.  Or maybe an ice cream suit with a jaunty straw boater.

I did not spit on him. He’s not my type.

While the other candidates fight for the scraps of lilly with Iowa and New Hampshire, Harris has been meeting the movers and shakers of Super Tuesday.  That’s going to be her break out.

The nominee and eventual president.  (felt compelled to add that)

When Push comes to Shove though, do you think black voters would support him over, say Harris, especially on Super Tuesday?

I’m not being snarky here, but I just don’t see it.  What is the appeal of Joe Biden.  I mean I always knew he was smarter then the aw shucks persona he used to get people to underestimate him. but he is seriously NOT presidential material by a long shot.

I’ve taken a  pledge not to vote for any white males in the primary (and Gabbard)
