To be fair, my initial question was if anyone else was getting annoyed, and I suppose the answer is not everyone, which isn’t a bad thing.

Even if so, there are other options besides saying “holy grail” over and over, placing it in quotes each time. Revolutionary, innovative, or just denoting Skyactiv-X all work.

That’s what I was thinking as well, but it became more effort than it was worth (and more than many of those articles took) to verify. I need that time to yell at clouds.

Now that I look, not entirely sure where it came from. Almost every article about the engine published in October of 2017 has some variant of the line “to develop an engine which ignites gasoline using combustion ignition technology, a fuel-saving process considered something of a holy grail of efficient gasoline

Anyone else getting annoyed at it being called the “’Holy Grail’ Skyactive-X engine”? I get that’s how it is in the marketing material, but does “Holy Grail” always have to be appended before it? Maybe I just didn’t get enough sleep last night. Or I’m old. Probably both.

It bugs me more than it should that there is so much bullshit going on right now, that two weeks ago feels like an eternity already.

It’s like someone saw a Chrysler Sebring and thought “Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let’s tone it down there, hot shot.”

I’m hoping the plates or VIN were legible enough to find which owners to contact and tell them. Otherwise said person may come back from the Bahamas to wander around A lot for hours trying to find their car which has since been removed.

Another thing at least Ford’s website does, that I had to learn the hard way, is not include taxes or any fees on lease payments. The actual payment ended up being about $80 / month higher than what was on website.

I’m only surprised that it isn’t on a Tesla.

Look at what you did, Mazda. YOU MADE KITTY SAD!

Just need to leave it on. Or do they auto disable when the car is put in drive or something? Maybe test to make sure. :-)

While I’m a huge fan of Subarus, I’m also a realist.

How well does it drift when placing lunch trays under the rear wheels and leaving the handbrake on? Not that I really want to know, just trying to help you guys have some more fun here.

The folks at Car and Driver, a publication like Horse and Rider or Sloop and Helmsman, but for cars

They intended to make the 2020 Silverado, but ran out of bricks while making the grille. The entire company, out of bricks.

Something we’ll never get; a (pretend) manual transmission. I know it makes no sense. I know it’s pointless. I know there is likely nothing even closely resembling a business case for it. I still think a current electric car (screw it, intended pun) would be a whole lot of fun.

That sound isn’t anything even remotely close to the crickets. They’re a high pitched chirp. This is a tap.

Eh, that’s normal. ~ Every Subaru forum, ever.

Any time that I’m worried I’m being too much of a pedant about something, I’ll come back and read this comment, and then feel better about myself. Thank you.
