The more this show connects to Rebels and (especially) The Clone Wars the less I’m interested. I’m just not a fan of those properties. I was hoping The Mandalorian would stand on its own more.

I’d add yet another Robert Redford movie, “Sneakers,” to the list. Not only is it a good conspiracy thriller, but it’s a rare example of a Hollywood thriller that wasn’t completely horrible at depicting hacking. (I’m grading on a curve here, mind you.)

Knight and Day is fun as hell and I won’t tolerate this slander.

If you’re familiar with Villeneuve, you’d expect the movie to be absolutely gorgeous. Full marks, every frame a portrait, he knocks it out of the park every time.

It is interminably stupid and stupefyingly dull. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I haven’t seen the Tudors but based on Game of Thrones and now Penny Dreadful, I have to think that people are reading her past performance over these other two shows because I’ve never been captivated by her. She has a zippy way with a line reading but I don’t think she brings much characterization to the table.  

I’m a professional treasure liquidator, but my services are not free. My standard commission is three doubloons and a skull with ruby eyes.  

Generally speaking, the show just isn’t must see quality this season. The acting talent is great. The story, not so great. The production and direction apart from some good CGI, is almost amateurish for this scale of an HBO production.

lol this episode felt like a bad scifi movie and I don’t know if that’s the point or not? Is Dolores in a scifi world and is somehow unknowingly killing hosts? I feel like there’s some twist I’m missing. Although Tessa Thompson looked sleek and sexy doing all that killing.
