The Passport is criminally overlooked in its segment, in favor of garbage like the Grand Cherokee for reasons, I will never quite understand. The only thing the Jeep’s have over the Passport is aesthetics, which is subjective.

Give me a 3G TL-S with a 6MT and I’ll be a happy happy man. One of the finest looking and well built sedans of our time.

Effectively brand new, with a better warranty than new: 2020 Certified Acura MDX Sport-Hybrid.

Shares the same underpinnings as the dead NSX and RLX Sport Hybrid, all of which were massively overlooked. And, these are MASSIVELY rare. It’s a Honda; they don’t die.

But that’s the point I’m trying to make... it’s a 4Runner, most people buying these aren’t looking for it to be fast. They’re looking for it to be reliable, long lasting, rugged, and do things that aren’t...fast. If I want a fast car, I’m going to buy a sports car. Not a 4Runner and then equip it with boost to make it

I mean, cool and all... but a fast SUV just seems like an oxymoron to me. It’s a 4Runner, it’s not intended to be a Cayanne beater, it’s intended to do off-road things where a Cayanne can’t compete, so what does it matter that this boost thing can shave 2 seconds off its 1/4 mile run? I for one wouldn’t feel

Alligator Alley is America’s autobahn. Drivers out there speed an average of 95-100 mph sustained with very little police presence. Anyone who travels it often knows where the police hide (always at the ends of each respective location).

When you combine a fast AMG model with this kid’s arrogance, entitlement, and

I’ll never drive anything other than a 4Runner as a daily driver. They just do everything so damn well... including guzzling a lot of gas.

I feel you, brother... I FEEL YOU on this one. I can’t die until I own an NSX

GIMME GIMME! Leave it alone, it’s perfect as is!

The question to this, though, is how many of those Malibu’s sold were sold to fleets? I think having that data would skew this argument rather considerably, because I don’t think many consumers are buying a Malibu...

Have driven, and can attest these are lousy, in my opinion. They are cramped (I’m only 5'10), have horrific blind spots, and just aren’t that dynamic. The engine is excellent, but otherwise, a major meh from an otherwise outstanding brand.

Don’t fix what ain’t broke!

There are clearly 100K+ other people, just like me, who want something that is tried, true, and tested. The 4Runner does just that, and still looks good doing it.

Perhaps one of the finest examples of this segment is the Acura 3.2CL Type S, specifically the 2003 model, which could be had with a buttery smooth 6-speed, a LSD, a bulletproof J32 Honda V6, and timeless, handsome good looks. The ultimate grand tourer.

Phantom vehicles at night: Often Nissan Rogues or Mazda CX-5's with just their DRL’s, driven by clueless sheep, typically hogging the left lane, doing everything except driving. Clueless to the world around them and the danger they’re in riding around in the dark.

Just leave the stalk on “AUTO.”

I have seen some S2K’s with more than 250K, and even some 1G NSX’s with more than that... it’s a Honda, it laughs at high miles. I’m only at 51K on my ‘05... I need to drive the poor thing more! Haven’t put one red cent into mechanical mishaps, only preventative maintenance. Incredible cars.

There’s a reason Toyota hasn’t updated the 4Runner/Tacoma in 14 years... because they’re dead nuts reliable. We’ll still be seeing 2015 4Runners on the road in 2065... no question.

Only thing that could stop my ‘06 4R is rust... and I’ll do everything in my power to prevent that.

Leave the electronics and nonsense

Easy: Buying my S2000 before prices went nuts. I consider it an annuity I get to use. The sad part is that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to part with it...

I can attest to this. I am actively between Boston and NYC, and all of the nav systems try to push you onto the Merritt. I honestly find staying on 84 all the way out to 684 to be a less frustrating ride.

But on those rare Saturday and Sunday mornings when traffic is light, the sun is shining, and you have the right

TPMS. Nothing but a pain in the ass.

Everyone’s allowed a misstep from time to time... but, when you consider they gave us the NSX, which changed the supercar world forever, or the S2000; introduced the first iteration of Japanese premium brands to the US; embarrassed the Big Three in the 70s and 80s, and gave us engines that are more reliable than a
