I’d rather vote Zapp than Trump.

I had always suspected that "Ascension's" big reveal, would be that the government had given the contract to build the ship to LEGO.
Ascension wasn't horrible. I'm glad I watched it. Not sure I would want to see more of it. It was kinda like a bunch of trending scifi tropes were stuck in a room and couldn't come out until they had a baby.
Syfy needs another reboot.
The only way they should have fixed this series is if they had transported the ship into space and brought the director of the experiment aboard the ship.
So much for punctuated equilibrium, which was actually punctuated at the end there.
Nailed it. It was a twist for the sake of having a twist. It was the SF nerd cultural-cringe in action. A spaceship show is just SF, but with the lol-earth-really "twist" it becomes a respectable and serious psycho-drama with sociological bullshit on board. They just cannot seem to bring themselves to make actual SF…
This better be picked up by Netflix or something.
Ugh. This just makes me want to watch Battlestar Galactica which isn't on Netflix anymore!!!!
I might actually watch this now. Worst case scenario, I just delete it.
I really liked it. I think it's easy to snark on it, but I'm kind of bummed there won't at least be a sequel. Hey SyFy, contact my agent if you want someone to write a sequel. I'd give it a go!
Agree, can we get rid of the child with magical powers trope, at least in science fiction, for pity's sake? Leave it in fantasy if you have to, but get it out of science fiction.
No wait, that was the original V. Oh wait, I see what you did there.....
It ends on a huge twist that's also sort of a cliffhanger.
I have not watched Ascension yet. Does it have a conclusion, or does it end abruptly? An example of a conclusion is the end of the BSG reboot miniseries/pilot where it ends with the fleet heading off into space. An example of an abrupt ending would be Space: Above & Beyond which ends with the truce broken and the…
we have decided not to pursue a full series.
That's unfortunate, it had some flaws but I was loving it by the end and hoping for more. :(
Ok, so any chance we can get the creator to tell us where they were heading - I mean plot wise?
Stokes liberated himself, Samantha just helped after he was out. Glad to see more of the old Mutant X gang getting work. First on Continuum, now here.
