I’m so saddened by this. I really saw The Nightly Show as the heir to Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. It was really funny and offered a much needed diverse presence in late night in terms of guests and correspondents. Plus, I lived for the hilarious segments by Felonious Monk. This sucks.

This sucks so hard. Larry’s show is so much more interesting than Trevor’s, even when I think it misses a mark or two. The writing is sharper, and there is actual outrage, as opposed to dimples. Plus: Mike Yard and Holly Walker are national goddamned treasures.

This is incredibly disappointing. It had a rocky start, but his show was really finding its groove and doing important (and funny!) stuff. I hope Larry gets the chance to take his voice and talents elsewhere, a la Sam Bee and John Oliver. Thanks for keeping it 100, Larry.

So, one of the things I learned while tripping on acid in college was that insecurity is part of the universal human condition.

I am in my late twenties and I work in academia (I am a woman) and I generally move between feeling like the biggest fraud who ever blagged her way into an academic job and furiously defending my accomplishments to (often male) colleagues who dare to trivialize my work.
