It’s an interesting show.

I binged all the seasons available on Netflix this year and the egregious use of passionfruit is what struck me personally. Mango is at least a change...

That may be one silver lining - if there’s no constant white house reality show buffoonery taking up headlines every 10 seconds of the day, people might be able to pay attention to what the Senate is doing.

Well now you’ve got me excited for spring already. I have a perennial patch of ramps in my back yard and they are sooooooo good (especially sauteed with some morels... which, alas, do not grow in my back yard).

There are lots of signs and banners with angry eagles on them, everywhere, and there have been for a while. I hate seeing them. They might as well say ‘I don’t give a shit about you!.’

I really want Biden to open by offering Trump a five-dollar bill to help him get back on his feet

I saw a really interesting article about this sometime back, in relation to mainstream popular Christian music/movies/art. The hypothesis was that the folks who made that art don’t think that they need to work very hard at it, because the work is “inspired by God” and therefore will inherently be good. These people

I work for a similar place and have been lucky in this sense too. It’s been kind of fun to get to “meet” my clients’ dogs, etc. on calls - I think it’s led to closer professional relationships if anything else. Makes us all seem more human.

...code for “I don’t like it when people are clearly smarter than me.”

Exactly. A friend of mine (who is in his late 20s, no pre-existing conditions or other risk factors) had a case that was on the serious side and was briefly hospitalized, but out of work for a total of 5 weeks. Just because you don’t die doesn’t mean it isn’t completely shitty.

She could do what, say, Leslie Jordan did the other day and handed his Instagram over to an activist for an afternoon.

The first one of these posts that I read detailed that the “silence” was supposed to:

I’m moving to the moon.
