Based on the article I read a bit after I posted that reply, unless you’re going someplace where there are fast chargers less than 100mi apart the whole way, you’re going to have a bad time attempting something like that. Suffice it to say that you’re not likely to see that kind of infrastructure in and around those

All the turbo I4 Silverados I’ve been near have sounded wrong. They don’t sound the part. It’s a minor complaint for sure, but it’s a valid one, especially considering all the jabronis who think they need a V8 to live who wouldn’t buy these things otherwise.

I mean the large displacement I4 motors. I6 motors absolutely make a good noise. I have one!

This motor trend article seems to indicate even 90mi might be optimistic. Plus, they didn’t mention what the weather was like. The pictures seem to indicate it was a nice, summer day, so battery output would be at its peak too...

Send ‘er right back to Mother Earth Gaia whence she came!

It’s not how long the funnel is. It’s how you use it!

Towing 10k*lbs?

You’re not wrong. And it’s comical since these same dudes always insist they want all this extra technology crap that breaks all the time.

Really, my only complaint is that they don’t make the right noise. They otherwise check every box.

I have always wondered why GM doesn’t have a few smaller displacement twin-turbo versions of the SBC.

My sister had a 2013 Focus and didn’t have that problem. In fact, she traded that in when her son was still in the rear facing seat and got a Prius C, doing fine with that too.

Yeah, I saw that. Sounds like this guy’s kind of a ballbag.

Maybe, but how far can you go in a fossil fuel powered one?

Musk sucks and his cars are rapidly heading toward also-ran. At this rate, you’ll be able to have your good electric car and tell Musk to eat it too within a few years.

As I see it, the only reason we allow tech like FSD on public roads is because we don’t have rules against it. Whatever is not explicitly forbidden is implicitly allowed. Since the cheerleaders have so far been successful in drowning out the opponents, how really bad it is hasn’t become truly offensive enough for

If. Even if it does, just because there’s one bonehead that’s willing to pay —cue the irony — more than it’s worth doesn’t mean somebody else with a similar one is going to find another bonehead willing to do the same.

It is often an objectively great configuration if you weigh usefulness and driving engagement like Jalops do. But, as far as the whole rest of the market goes, manual is bad and wagon is ugly. It makes them rare. Thing is, “rare” does not mean valuable. Plenty of things exist that are rare that nobody wants.

The Ej255 seems to be a weird animal. It doesn’t seem to spin bearings (as often) or break ring lands like the other ones, but likes to cook the valves on #4. Something about coolant flow, if memory serves.

Which makes it worth *more* on the open market, actually. Point is, this car ain’t worth what they’re asking.

The Accent 4-door should have been fine for one kid. If I could baby with a BMW coupe and my mom babied two kids under four in a Datsun B210, he could have managed one in the Accent. You just can’t bring along the off-road juggernaught strollers that have become unreasonably popular.
