Seriously. I couldn’t give half a fuck how new the bathrooms are if there’s week old shit caked all over everything.

Get off my lawn!
It’d be quicker out of the hole given the extra driven rubber, but weight makes a big difference. Batteries and motors aren’t known for being lightweight. It’d probably be very low, which is good, I guess.
Okay, so they’ll sell one...
CA and NY have blocks on sales of new ICE vehicles full stop in 2032 or 2035. A hybrid wouldn’t help them there. I haven’t heard about any other states doing anything, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing in the pipe.
I never drove a Mirage, but I did poke at one at an auto show once. The build quality was shocking. The fenders felt like they were made from recycled soda cans and the interior gave me the impression I was sitting inside an oversized version of the blow-molded cases Harbor Freight sells power tools in. I’m shocked…
I want to believe you, especially since my wife had an ‘03 Focus and it was great. Trouble is, my sister had a ‘13 Focus. Even if you discount the DCT problems, the car was a hot mess. She would have set fire to it if she could have recovered financially from it.
I’m not sure they’re that wrong. It may be popular and influential, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. In many ways, it’s objectively a bad car.
Neither Eco nor Sport.
I’m not sure that’s as direct a shot as you think it is, given that as few people buy them as they do. Sure, the take rate on things like a Corvette is higher, but it’s still a tiny fraction.
If you’re looking for a vehicle to move *that* many people and *that* kind of stuff, that’s a smarter buy. But, it won’t be as nice to be in or to drive.
Really? I would have thought they’s slot in under S-Class buyers.
This car will be fairly dependable if it’s taken care of.
That’s funny! Reminds me of when I worked as a computer technician for a fruit company. I was friends with a guy who moved out to California and worked in one of the stores where they are frequented by famous people. He texted me one day with a picture of the repair-order system. “Look! We have Bo Derek’s iMac!” A few…
I have a friend who bought a ‘13 E350 Sport 4Matic sedan a few years ago for around this much money. After sorting out some really weird issues caused by some seriously brain damaged technicians (like it has staggered wheels and they put the two wider wheels on the right side and the narrower two on the left, causing…
We’ve got some interesting local cuisine, but it’s not generally the kind of thing you’d want to take on while in the middle of a road trip. Wings and beef-on-weck would be a recipe for gastrointestinal drama, let alone the DEFCON 2 type disaster a garbage plate would be. Chicken Riggies might be nice to have if…
I’m a New Yorker and I use the Thruway from time to time. I know others that do. I don’t know a single one that could give two shits about the attractions at a rest stop beyond that you can park there for long enough to go to the bathroom and maybe get some fuel. Food beyond road snacks is an afterthought.
Beside larger numbers and “AWD is teh bettar,” I’m having trouble understanding what this is for. It’ll get better milage. Well, probably. But that’s not what a Corvette is for and they don’t get awful mileage for what they are — a toy — anyway. It might handle better because they can do all sorts of neat torque…
The ones on E46's never sealed very well. There’s actually a mod called the “sock mod” where you put a sock over the reservoir to keep it from splashing fluid all over the front of the engine when the car’s driven hard. Mine’s not and I have to wipe a film of power steering fluid and dirt off the reservoir regularly.
It’s also rapidly approaching the age where all the plastic and rubber parts start failing and it needs an entirely new suspension and basically every engine bay hose, tube, and gasket. The valve cover gasket already went, so it’s definitely begun. I’ve got an E46 in my garage I’ve owned since it was only five years…
